LINCOLNSHIRE WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
WILL WE BE TAKEN AWAY FROM GUESTS FOR PHOTOS?
In a word, no. My style for photography is documentary, meaning I will follow your day as I see it and tell a story as it unravels. However please let me know before the day any family photos you require so we can plan this in, I know how important these are but keeping them to a minimum is advised so you can enjoy your day & not miss anything. I will also take you both for a 15 minute walk to get some newlywed shots (and a chance for you both to have some time to take it all in – with me a few steps behind.

DO YOU EDIT THE IMAGES?
Yes - I personally hand edit each image for you.
HOW LONG BEFORE WE CAN SEE THE FINISHED PHOTOS?
When it’s busy it can be 6-8 weeks. But for most of the year, it’s 4-5.

WILL THE PHOTOS BE IN COLOUR OR BLACK AND WHITE?
I shoot in colour and turn the ones I think will look good black and white…if you want any others turned black and white let me know the file number and I’ll happily convert them for you.
WILL YOU BE PHOTOGRAPHING OUR WEDDING?
Yes, it will be me photographing your wedding, my name will be shown clearly on the contract between us.
ARE YOU INSURED AND DO YOU HAVE SPARE EQUIPMENT WITH YOU?
I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance … my equipment is also insured and I carry spares of everything with me on a wedding day - just in case!
CAN WE HAVE SOME FORMAL GROUP PHOTOS AT OUR WEDDING?
If getting traditional formal photos of all the different groups of your guests is a priority for you, then I’m probably not the best photographer for you. If however, you want a few group photos as a record of everyone who attended (and keep mum and dad happy) that’s no problem at all. I will work with you ahead of your wedding day to build a list of the group formals you want and then on the day apply an approach that ensures we can move through them quickly, allowing everyone to get back to the celebrations. On average I usually take 4-6 group photos per wedding.
DOES IT MATTER THAT YOU’VE NOT SHOT AT OUR VENUE BEFORE?
Absolutely not. I can only shoot what’s in front of me on the day. However, I will make a point of doing a reconnaissance mission if I’m shooting somewhere new in order to work out where the sun will be at different times of the day, etc

CAN WE MEET OR CHAT?
If you would like to chat over the phone, meet me in person or over Zoom, just get in touch and we can easily get something into the diary.
CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS FROM THE USB STICK?
Yep! In fact, I strongly encourage you to print them, but go to a good lab. And please back up your files too.
WILL YOU PHOTOGRAPH OUR WEDDING DECORATIONS AND DETAILS?
Absolutely. If you’ve taken the time to make something for your wedding, then I believe it’s important to document it. Details add to the story too, especially if it captures your personalities and values.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/APPROACH TO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?
I consider myself a storyteller. It’s my job to capture the big moments and the small ones, all of the details, the laughs, the tears, the fun, the expected and the unexpected. I aim to be both present and invisible, photographing authentic and sincere imagery that is uniquely yours.
DO I NEED TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS AT MY WEDDING?
The biggest advantages of two photographers:
1. Multiple angles of ceremony, speeches, bride and groom preparation
2. More pictures of guests
3. More candid images
DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT SHOOTS (AKA PRE WEDDING SHOOTS)?
Yes, I do. Rest assured these shoots are very relaxed and adhere to my documentary approach. The aim of the Engagement Shoot is to allow us to get used to working together prior to the day but to also help couples overcome any fears they have of being in front of the camera.
If you have booked your wedding venue and are looking for a Lincolnshire Wedding Photographer or anywhere else for that matter then get in touch, I would love to hear all about you and your plans.
